Dr. Trombley found a small lump on my cat that I hadn't noticed, and also helped resolve a digestive issue that I hadn't even mentioned. Since her recommendation my cat has not had any vomiting/defecating episodes.

I have taken my pets here for over 30 years. Everyone who works here is really great. Their pricing is very reasonable. I give them my highest recommendation!

The most unprofessional Experience In a life-threatening situation. Today my dog bloat and knowing that time is of the essence, I raced my dog to this hospital. Upon entering the immediately gaslit me asking if he had just eaten something. I told them that he had all the classic symptoms of bloat and they said well we can do X-ray, to be sure. With literally not an ounce of urgency in anyone’s body, they did the x-ray and confirmed that my dog had full on gvd. The veterinarian in his Hawaiian T-shirt looks me in the eye and told me that he didn’t have time in his schedule to perform the Life-saving surgery on my dog. He told me that I needed to go to an emergency clinic gave me an address that they would know that I was on my way. Upon arriving to the emergency clinic that they sent me to I was told that they don’t perform surgery here and that I needed to go to Oakdale. In a life-threatening situation, this veterinarian was completely incompetent And sent me 20 minutes out of my way. 20 minutes that my dog could’ve received life-saving treatment sooner. Did I mention that as I was running out the door they charged me $500. An absolute waste of my time if you care about your pet at all, I would never bring them here. He wasn’t able to get the life-saving surgery, but it sure wasn’t at this facility.

Dr. Tara is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares. She even followed up after the visit which meant a lot. I felt comfortable the entire time. They were so gentle with my dog and spoke to her like she was their own. Everyone at highland animal hospital went above and beyond. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for compassionate and trustworthy care.

This clinic completely failed me when my pet needed care. You deserve a vet who supports you—not one who pushes you away the moment things get slightly complicated. Their reasoning was not logical, medically appropriate, or client-centered. Hiding behind “we haven’t seen him in a couple years” is not a valid medical justification to turn away a sick animal. Liability concerns don’t excuse abandoning a pet who needs to be evaluated. A true family vet prioritizes accessibility over bureaucracy. This experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and deeply disappointing. I will not be returning.
