Reviews

Google reviews list a 4.3/5 rating from 47 reviews. Recent written feedback is mixed: one reviewer highlights a clean, organized facility and friendly, courteous check-in, while multiple others describe difficulty reaching the clinic or a veterinarian (calls going to voicemail, voicemail boxes reported as full, and delayed responses). Additional concerns in these reviews include perceived decline in service after becoming Banfield, limited follow-up when a medication reaction was reported, and one account of a dog kept for several hours without being examined before being sent home.

Very clean, organized, new facility with a great new location for Banfield. Staff was friendly and courteous upon arrival and check in. Only minor complaint is that the parking lot seems a bit narrow to get in and out of parking spots.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this unfortunately deserves one. With the switch over from Roseville to St. Paul, it has been impossible to get ahold of my vet. My dog desperately needs a prescription and an exam and I call and am placed on hold until it goes to a full voicemail box. I try to be understanding and compassionate when changes happen, especially when they are overwhelming, but never getting a response from my vet is not acceptable, especially as an OWP member, paying monthly for quality service. I am disappointed. The experiences when I do get to see or talk to someone have been positive, which is why there are 2 stars instead of one. I really want to love Banfield…

Larpenteur Animal Hospital has seriously gone down in service since becoming Banfield. They are not able to be reached, voicemail box is full, and don’t have time for you even if the medication they prescribed has an adverse reaction to your pet. We have been with them for over a decade and now we are moving our pets to another veterinarian.

PET OWNERS BEWARE! DO NOT bring your pets here! I have been taking my pets here for close to 20 years, but it was recently sold to Banfield and the quality of care and service has changed drastically. Today I brought my dog in because I was concerned she had been exposed to blue green algae and was having neurological symptoms. They instructed me to drop her off and informed me that they would call me with updates and a pick up time. I never received a call and when I called to check in the told me she had been seen and would be ready to go soon. 30 minutes before they close I called again and was told she had actually never been seen and would not be able to be seen. They kept her there for 7 hours and never looked at her and sent her home without any examination. I then had to take her to the emergency vet. If you live your pets go somewhere else!
